Dress up days for Homecoming next week! Go Aggies!

Mrs. Spates’ students tested objects to decide if they are insulators or conductors. Insulators will not let the energy flow so the lightbulb will not light. Conductors will allow energy to flow so the lightbulb will light up to prove the movement of energy. I think we’ll have some surprise test results when we’re done!

5th grade has been learning about ecosystems. Today we cleaned out garden beds to prep for vegetable seedlings. While clearing out we searched for bugs that use our garden as a habitat. Students enjoyed studying the critters by examining them in magnifying boxes.

3rd grade welcomed crayfish! Students are making observations and learning how to responsibly handle them. We are learning about habitats and survival. Students are able to identify males by swimmerets and females by the egg pore. We are having so much fun learning about and handling our new friends!

5th grade students in Mrs.Collier's English Language Arts class demonstrated their knowledge of adverbs and adjectives this week. Students were split into groups and either given 4 verbs or 4 nouns and had to write a sentence with each using adjectives to describe the nouns and adverbs to describe the verbs. Once finished, students used their editing and revision skills to check their sentences for clarity and grammatical errors. Students concluded this activity by presenting their sentences to the class.

Mrs. Bradford’s class was challenged with a multi-digit Mulitplication Escape Room! Students worked hard to solve multiplication riddles with partners.

Who says practicing multiplication can't be fun? It's always fun in Mrs Mooney's Class.
