U.S. News and World Report recently released their 2024 Best Middle Schools Rankings. These rankings evaluate nearly 18,000 schools at the national, state, and local levels.
It is with great pride that we get to share that Nichols-Lawson Middle School was selected as a U.S. News Best Middle School. NLMS ranked 108 out of 921 middle schools in Alabama, placing it in the top 12% in the state!
Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required testing and how well they prepare students for high school.
“Our students are continually striving for excellence, and it takes everyone’s best to see an improvement like this one. Our goal for the upcoming school year is to continue climbing and reach the top 10% of middle schools in the state,” Superintendent Dr. Michele Eller said.
